The foyer of Enchantment

The Foyer of Enchantment was one of the grandest and most storied spaces we’ve had the privilege of designing. Located inside the iconic Potter’s Daniel Manor—an estate with a rich local historical significance and Hollywood history, was backdrop for numerous films and TV productions. This project was part of the prestigious Pasadena Showcase House, one of the oldest and most celebrated design showcases in the country.

Our firm was selected to reimagine the manor’s grand entryway, sweeping staircase, and upper landing. Staying true to the original Tudor-style architecture, we honored the home's historic charm by preserving original doors, hardware, and intricate millwork. While these details remained intact, the walls had suffered years of wear and required major restoration. Our talented team of contractors and artists meticulously repaired the surfaces and created hand-painted murals to infuse the space with color, fantasy, and romantic narrative.
To complement the architecture and artistry, we curated a striking mix of antique and modern furnishings. Custom 15-foot draperies were designed to echo the palette of the murals and enhance the beauty of the leaded glass windows. Two bespoke furniture pieces—the Feye Chair, created in collaboration with Amorph Studio, and the Royal Garden Sofa, custom-designed specifically for this space— anchor the entry in sculptural elegance.

Drawing from her background in production design, Rachel brought in a full team of film industry professionals to creatively capture and highlight the space. This collaboration allowed us to showcase the project not only as a fully realized interior, but as a visual story—blurring the line between design, art, and cinema.
