B. David Levine Showroom Window Display

What a fun and collaborative experience this project was! Working alongside design visionary B. David Levine, we brought to life a creatively decadent window display for Legends 2022: California, The Golden State. The project included contributions from many incredible craftsmen and artists, each adding to the immersive experience.

I designed the stage and architectural drawings for the custom screens and worked closely with David, managing every detail, to execute his elaborate vision for the display on a tight deadline. We even had Murano glass vases flown in from Italy as elements that mimic cacti.

Once the custom screens were built, custom murals by the talented Hattas Studio to reflect the desert at sunset, and a limited-edition wallpaper created by B. David Levine—featuring a pattern shaped like California—added depth and narrative. The rugs evoke rolling sand, the organic-shaped coffee tables reference desert mountains, and we even incorporated a real tumbleweed, spray-painted gold for dramatic effect.

The pièce de résistance is the Murano glass sun-shaped chandelier paired with a wooden chair, a B. David Levine original—truly one-of-a-kind. This display is a perfect example of creative collaboration, where architecture, artistry, and design storytelling come together to celebrate the essence of California in the design district.
